Assessment is a key part of teaching and learning. In Deerpark we strive to ensure that our students are assessed in such a way as to maximise their learning and their confidence. In the school year 2012/13 the school moved to a form of continuous assessment which, after initial review, appears to be working well.
The school is also one of the 46 network schools preparing for the new Junior Cycle. The changes outlined in the new Junior Cycle require new methods of instruction and assessment and Deerpark is set to meet these new challenges.
